Meeting with Ball State University on 27 July 2006

Representatives from our School, Prof. Huang (our Centre Director), Mr. Masato (new faculty member from Journalism Department) and Mr. Way Chan (Technical Manager) met with Dr. Maria W. Hawkins and Mr. C. Vernon Draper from the Department of Telecommunications of Ball State University and discussed a range of issues during their visit to HK on 27 July 2006.

It was suggested that Global Media Network could be used to link up with overseas institutions in teaching; this will not only enhance teaching effectiveness, but also broaden students’ perspectives. Besides fruitful discussion on the exchange aspect, they also touched on the technological aspects regarding the actual operation. More collaborations have been proposed and both parties look forward to have further cooperation in the future.
